Attending a Concert
Whatever makes you comfortable. Dress up, dress down - there’s no dress code.
Most musical compositions are divided into several "movements," much like a play's acts. Silent pauses will occur between movements because people often only applaud at the conclusion of a piece. But our programs offer you an estimate of how long each item is in case you're not sure. To be sure, simply wait until other begin applauding.
You’ll still be able to enter the hall after the performance starts. You’ll be guided in by the ushers when there’s a break in the music, usually between a movement or at the end of a piece.
Doors typically open 30 mins before the performance begins to allow the audience plenty of time to be seated!
Feel free to take photographs between pieces, but we ask that phones are off and away during the performance to maximise the expereience of live performance!
